'Rabbit-Proof Fence' is worth a look. It is an emotional film about three young mixed race aboriginal girls and their escape from their Australian government institution. Not so much about man-girl love, but more about the strong family ties and the strong character of the eldest girl, and a condemnation of the oppressive Australian policies against aboriginal people.

A serious film with some very natural photography. Will be shown on BBC1 (UK) on Sunday night (26th Oct) at 23.45
