question for pagans

ok...we "know" that in the christian mindset,if the earth was destroyed completely by an external event,such as a meteor impact,our souls would be ok because heaven does not exist on or in earth. but for people who believe in "mother earth" particularly those that believe in re-incarnation on earth,what happens to all the spirits if they are displaced by the total annihilation of our world? do they get destroyed too,or do they travel elsewhere? if they travel to another planet or plane of existance,where is the pagan writings that speak of this? in Wicca,there is no "heaven" per se,and in Hindu and Budhist beliefs,i am still fuzzy on the location of Nirvana...
