Just a small point: Are you sure she's really from Australia?

"I don't vote here in Australia..."

Unless something has changed since the last I heard about it, she must be regularly paying the fines then, because every Australian who can vote is required by law to vote. I wouldn't expect a non-Australian to necessarily know that, but an actual Australian sure would. If 'she' is lying about being Australian, 'she' may be lying about pretty much anything else, and this comment makes me suspicious.
