Tough to tell.

I don't remember too much of my birth mother. When I was 5 she passed away. From what I remember she was affectionate towards me, but after she passed I didn't have a mother figure for a while. My dad re-married. I'll admit that I didn't like my step-mother as a child because she was so strict with me. As I grew it turns out that I became closer to her than my father. I only ever called her mom even though I knew she wasn't technically. She was never too affectionate towards me, but I knew that she really cared. Now, being a young adult, I feel as close as I've ever been with her, but there's still a small void that wasn't entirely filled with affection.
