I still love this girl and I always will...but I'm a bit sad right now. I really want to tell her the truth about this community, but I don't want to alienate her. I don't want to inadvertantly say the wrong thing.

Well, she advertantly said the wrong thing! She knows you are an MAA and should've known you may have objected to that.

"I don't vote here in Australia. I don't support the government here because they support pedofiles and cover up for them!"

The only other time she ever mentioned the "p" word to me was when she told me that the city of Adelaide in Aussie was where they send "pedofiles" to

Wrangle 'em up and send 'em off! Very supportive.

Needless to say I am offended by your friend. And more than you I would bet. I don't know her, I don't have your bias toward her. Sometimes decent people say stupid shit they don't either mean or understand.

As you may know, Dissident, my grandmother is Japanese. I often have to bite my tongue when friends who don't realise make offensive jokes about Asians. But I do my best to clear things up later. Also, just as a product of society, it's not unusual to hear people I'm close to make anti-paedo comments, but only those who are not fully aware I'm a paedophile. Very offensive and bigotted. I am willing to deal with it on some level, though, because I know they're just following the status quo. I am out to various people I know and can assure you I never get those comments from them.

I would recommend that you do talk to her. If she is open-minded and caring like you say she should at least have the patience to hear you out.

Good luck to you on this, Diss. :)/:(
