When Beatrice is spending time with me, I see "that" Beatrice. But I have spent time around her son, and I've been with her when a phone call from her parents comes through. I've seen her as a mother, as a daughter, as an employee. These help supplement my knowledge of the face she shows Dante.

I know exactly what you mean! Sometimes this is when people will surprise you most, for good or bad. More often that not when I'm impressed with someone, seeing another of their sides can be a bit disappointing. [Perhaps Dissident is misconstruing what she said? We've only seen the comment out of context.] Other times, though, they impress you even more!

I both agree and disagree with you on the i'net connectivity thing though. I think it's possible to bond emotionally with people you only know online and some people[Diss, for example] are more prone to it than others[you]. Expecting other people to be legit ain't too healthy though. OTOH, Dante, you're one of my favorite people in this world and don't think there's anything wrong with taking heart in things you've said online in the "real" world. You see what I mean?
