Granny's...

I never knew my Grandma on my Dad's side, because she passed away when he was a kid, car accident..it was bad for my dad. On my Mom's side, it's a sad state of affairs, my Grandma told me never to call her Grandma, but to call her by her first name, and that she was not my Grandma, she was an older lady that I knew and I should treat her in that manner. Growing up, I never saw her at any Christmas's, Thanksgivings or Birthday's, never..not one party. She treated my Mom and Aunt like strangers, my Mom tried to get close to her, many invitations for family events, went unanswered. Now she's in a nursing home with Alzheimer's, I haven't seen her in 10 years or more, and I don't miss her at all, she did nothing for me, and was basically a stranger, I have no reason to miss her or go visit her.
