Re: poll: how affectionate was your mother with you?

Growing up, I was never really hugged, or kissed or anything. I was told that I was loved, a lot, they showed it by sacrificing stuff that they wanted for me, kept in clothes, food, and toys, but as far as affection from Mom, I can't really say she did that stuff. Dad did it more than Mom, even today my Dad will hug me and shake my hand, my Mom, not so much, she stiffens if I hug her, so over the years I've learned not to do it. She shows me her love with her actions, stuff she does for me rather than hugs and kisses. Every time I come over, I get a huge meal, she waits on me hand and foot, makes me feel like I'm home, and just makes a big deal that I'm even in the house, but when it comes to close intimate touching..she don't.
