I doubt that too many 3 year olds would have an interest in voting, or would seek out the requisite political knowledge required to make an intelligent voting decision. Thus, it's highly unlikely that any kids as young as that would actually register to vote. I think older children under the age of 12 are fully capable of understanding what their interests are and learning enough about the political world to vote effectively. As I predicted and noted elsewhere in this thread, saying that kids shouldn't be allowed to vote simply because you think they will ape who their parents vote for is no different than the many men who once claimed that women shouldn't be given the right to vote because they would simply vote however their husbands did. I think kids aged 8 and up are fully capable of voting, and many kids in this age group did on Nickelodeon's election week poll. If we do not give kids the right to vote then older people will continuously stand in to "represent" them and will continually vote for measures to keep the kids directly under the control of adults in all ways. Right now, we have CA's claiming to look out for kids' interests, and as a result kids remain the property of their parents and third class citizens.
