I hate to tell you, but this shit isn't... special, or surprising. This is par for the course, standard operating procedure for everything that hits your television. That is why you're basically fucked if you don't have constant active countermeasures, and why hippies - fags, feminists, or the abundant "Hippie(not otherwise specified)" keep going off about this thing called "deconstruction of media."
Seriously. Get up to speed quick, this is the entire communications industry and everything on your set. Including advertising, not surprisingly. It's also how the society you're in was constructed, which tends to imply that the people paying the PR and advertising firms don't have the most broad-minded interests in mind and that you should really start deconstructing your medias' biases now.

If you think any of the basics are in any way unique or specially relevant to Obama whatsoever, you need to wake the fuck up and turn your mind on to what everyone else is trying to sell you that you've let slide.
Now if you'll pardon me, I'm going to go fucking cry now, because you asked this right in the end of yet another "healing through dystopia" phase, and reintegrated the old healing with some of the newer, which is going to leave me slightly fucking raw... suffice to say, for all its pseudobuddhism psych-candy as a distractant technique, neither matrix I - nor for that matter, Monsters, Inc - were that far off.
Human life - including yours - is the most disposable commodity in the industrial society, and these systems were not set up for your happiness. Or, for that matter, your welfare. I suggest you break down everything your TV and media were trying to sell you before you become its victim, rather than its reader.
Serious. 'cause a lot more than just your happiness and welfare depend on a media consumer being a conscious media consumer. The Obama campaign was one of the least vile things to come down a very bulk communications and propaganda pipeline, and it's all fucked.
