Film is a cool medium which creates a passive/receptive state in its audience and whose emotionality flies past the gates of reason. Text itself and most speeches engage the rational/critical mind. Conjuring filmic imagery allows the author to access some of the power of the other media. Hollywood product Ronald Reagan frequently used this device to enhance his communication.

Oh God, don't I know it. Even still photos - though they lack things like movement and sound - do wonders above text for basically free-form doing and creating anything, and doubly so if the viewer has some official reason to read nearby text or other official reason for the layout and something to watch...

It's been my frustration. Means have been devised. 'n frankly, I've enjoyed the photos, and occasionally videos, of m'self and my political neighbors here and there.

The world is a much more interesting place if you read it.

Methinks that the header and the footer are meant to simulate the appearance of a legitimate text; which frequently has the title repeated at the top of at least every other page.

However these statements in run-on boldface caps are inserted every page so that the author's unsupported assumptions ( the header ) and ego-stroking, of self and others ( the footer ) are absorbed every few paragraphs.

This is done to ensure that the point is driven home regardless of whether the reader draws the same conclusions from the "evidence."

Y'know... I was thinking the exact same thing. 'n no one ever READS those things, but they're always there in your vision.. ;)

Anyways, I'm taking a break for the day. Back to the other umpteen-bajillion pages later, lol...

Thanks for the input. You're pretty good at this... ever consider fieldwork? We spend most of our time going up against a lot less than even so much as this crap, and the work's basically the same - calling out the hidden assumptions that someone's trying to slip by, because the anti position can't stand when it's brought out in the open...

You might have to militarize, lol... but you might want to consider it. ;) You've got a bit of aptitude...
