Yes, the link would have been deleted. ED contains a lot of nudity and pornography, not to mention that it's part of the whole "Anonymous" culture, the sites of which we would prefer not be linked to from GC.

People can easily just do as you said and go to a certain website containing 3 Ws, then "Encyclopedia Dramatica" as one word, and then a "dot com" and looking up Pedobear to read about the history of this long-standing meme for themselves.
