There is no way to see the system other than by seeing it.
Apparently Dante makes an ideal juror. No matter where he moves he ends up being empanelled more often than any non-pensioner he knows.
( I wish that Victoria Justice would summon me with the enthusiasm that the Criminal Justice system does.)
After umpteen juror summons and trials I know that no fictional portrayal is close and that most who haven't been present at a trial are ignorant of what happens.
I'm sure that if you approach a public officer at the courthouse they should be able to guide you to the right person who can arrange such a visit. In scheduling trials the court consults with the lawyers to estimate how long the presentations should take. Many trials last merely one day.

Your request for help in "making something up" suggests that you assume your fellow GirlChatters have any pertinent experience to assist you with. This suggestion impugns the innocence of the majority of law-abiding Peds here.
Only those who've been processed by the criminal justice system could discuss any of the details of their case without violating Rule 6.
And that's assuming that they aren't worried about such a discussion linking their GC nick to their RL identity.
As for the rest of us who make-up the vast majority of the posters here; we have no more privileged knowledge than you already have or could obtain through library research. At which point attending a trial probably would take less effort than doing the research necessary to invent one.
