. . . and she may not be, any time soon.

The headline is a bit misleading. Hannah and her family demanded the right to refuse a an invasive medical operation that may not be necessary at all, carries great risks of its own, and in any case is unlikely to extend her life for very long.

Really, it's a no-brainer. This should never have been an issue at all.
