Dressing up as Pedobear in front of average people would likely giet little, if any, response concerning the character you're dressed as. As far as most people are concerned, you'd just be a bear.

As far as an anime convention, though, most would be likely to recognize you; Many may not even label you a pedophile, just merely think you were wearing it as a joke.

As far as there being "cartoonists" on this forum, I am one (not professionally), but I'm not touching that "teaching kids the positives of childlove" idea with a 10-foot pole.
