My siggie

Well, the Iron Marxist finally has a siggie...and what better symbol for a Marxist than the globe, the representation of a united humanity and hope for the future. For those of us who do not despise the human race and who believe that humanity has a glorious potential to create a truly great civilization, the globe represents that future. I know it's not likely that such a better society will be achieved in my lifetime, but it's still important to strive for it now.

This community has often inspired me to see the potential in humanity and to believe that hope for a better future is always a strong possibility. I thank the GL community for always being there for me and for serving as an inspiration to me for what all humanity can accomplish collectively if only we learn to cooperate and believe in our ability to create a better and truly decent world. A perfect world may be an impossibility, but I am betting that a better and truly good world is a real possibility. I see that potential in all of us, and I see the GL community as a microcosm for what all humanity can achieve together. A world of tolerance, cooperation, and love is within our grasp if only the vast majority of us would believe in our inherent worthiness as a species. The hatred of the antis is in marked contrast to our desire to prove that love is never wrong.

Thank you again to GC for being here for me and for always inspiring me to better myself, and to believe that our species has hope to truly excell in the future.
