I almost had a fit right here. I had thought he implied "Pedo" = "molester".
"But before you see this as proof that pedophilia finds its origins in brain biology, the physical brain changes didn't predict anything you might expect (number of offenses, psychopathy, etc)-- but it did predict obsessiveness. In other words, this study found biological evidence of OCD spectrum pathology, but not of pedophilia, per se. No, pedophilia isn't a disease with distinct physical pathology, and no, it isn't properly the domain of psychiatry."
I have a neurophysical disability. I'm not sure how large my brain is, but I am not diagnosed as mentally retarded or autistic. I remember a phase of my adolescence when I exhibited daily OCD behavior, but my parents never saught a diagnosis. For instance, 10 or more times a night, I'd open my door to make sure the lights were turned out in the kitchen, etc.
I remember my first self-awareness of pedophilia was when I was 17, and had a crush on a summer camp girl of 11. So, this was after my OCD-spctrum behavior had ceased. I don't know lots about OCD, and don't know, strictly, if it can be eliminated or die out. As far as my pdophilia, I have had moments where I felt like I was losing my pedophilia. However, I think I can chalk that up to varying levels of libido at a given moment. I still consider myself 8-22f with a 9-12f core, AOA-wise.
I tried to respond to the quote here, but don't think I came up with anything. But use those thoughts as you wish.
