...I believe that Ms. Fletcher could have won her case if she utilized her team of First Ammendment lawyers to her advantage. She was just a troubled soul who allowed herself to be bullied by the law into plea-bargaining a part of her own freedom away (not that she left her house anyway). It's terribly disturbing that the U.S. has judges that are willing to incarcerate people simply because they wrote something that they found offensive. Using a non-proven claim that fictional violence will encourage real violence, along with a huge amount of bigotry towards people who are attracted to children, was hardly a good reason for a judge to consider putting someone away.![]() |
