"Also, the usual forms of social interaction that most young adult males seem satisfied with just don't cut it for me."

Ditto, my friend.

I can try to offer some advice. Having a real live (and very understanding) person to vent all of these frustrations to is extremely helpful, but also extremely rare. Do you have a close friend who you'd be able to trust your life with? If so, ease into seeing if this person can be a sort of "go-to" person with your frustrations. Also, extend your hand as well. Hear them out on their problems, too. This way a huge trust can be formed and thus you can talk about such subjects with this person. While not all people are the same, I have a friend who I've done exactly that with and it has and continues to work huge freakin' wonders for me. Turns out that we agree on a lot of the same stuff, too.

It's also frustrating to not be able to let your passions out. There are next to no little girls in my life. I've only ever been able to see them from afar and just sit around and dream. I know what it's like, but being able to use your own vocal chords to physically say how you really feel to the ears of another flesh and blood human (who won't immediatly get up and dial the police) is very very satisfying on it's own level.
