It is a noted correlation

Nobody to my knowledge has explained a link, but it is a correlation that has been noted by police, that paedophiles have a greater-than-average tendency to be left-handed than the general population. It's of course not as universal as the correlation with sci-fi, but it's there.

For the record, I use both my hands depending on the activity. I write with my right, though I can write with my left with an equally good (but slightly different on looks) calligraphy on vertical surfaces (like boards), but at the table I use the knife on the left and cannot even grab it properly with my right.
