The 'experts' are always trying to find correlations like these. 'Pedophiles tend to be shorter', 'Pedophiles tend to have lower than average IQs', 'Pedophiles love Star Trek'...

But if you consider them all together, it starts to fall apart. For example, studies have shown that the left-handed population tend to be overacheivers or have higher artistic and creative potential due to a brain structure that widens their range of abilities. Are these the same people that have a 'lower than average' IQ?
