Never a problem.

I guess I hid it rather well because my friend told me that he'd never have guessed if I didn't spill everything to him one night during a fevorish rant about how I'm not good at being human. I talk to him regularly about it and as it turns out, he agrees with my views. We've even gotten to the point where we can joke about it between us.

I wouldn't recomend refraining from situations that involve little girls. I'd recomend the opposite, actually. Hah. Unless of course you share with me the total and utter lack of such situations in your day to day life, which is very tough. But if you're able to then you'll be able to fulfill your desires to be close with a little girl.

I'd also recomend easing into more talk about it with this person. I know that it's a tough thing to bring up, but if it ever comes up, make sure she knows that your intentions are good. Try to have all of the misconceptions cleared this way you can be fully understood and accepted if at least by one person who doesn't share the same mind set. It's a great feeling.
