Recently I was invited to a barbeque with work people. The organizer said, "No kids," thinking that would make it a more attractive invitation to the adults. I, of course, immediately made excuses to get out of it. The daughters of these people always bring genuine smiles to my face. That's much better sitting around pretending to laugh at the adult's jokes. If there were going to be kids there, I would not only agree to go, but also offer to be the photographer for the day. I don't understand why adults seem to think kids would be a negative addition to a barbeque day. Would the men complain about 16 year old girls being there? 18 year olds? 20 year olds? Where do they draw the line? And what do these "normal" men think about the 13 year olds who are 1,78m tall and curvy? Sorry, I'm going a little off topic. What I wanted to say is, I understand how pathetic these typical social interactions are, and at an event such as a wedding, I always end up with the kids!
