Seriously though, I agree.

Unless they are gonna sit around watching pron and injecting heroine, or something of the sort (ie, Very "Adult" Activity), you already got my drift, I don't see the reason for such bans.

Granted, some kids (of either gender) are brats. That doesn't mean anything. Not all are brats. In fact, probably most aren't. And you could always warn people likely to bring kids in advance of the house rules you want to enforce and demand that their kids comply, which I don't think is unreasonable nor should it prevent any kid from attending something.
