I think there's a possibility of rejection, depending what sort of relationship she has with the other kids and what relationship you have to them as well. Deegee made some good points. What does the girl want?

How does it seem to affect the other kids? What if she's one in a family of kids that you know? As child lovers, where is our greatest loyalty? Is it to our special girl, or to the ensurance that no child feels marginalized or not as good or not loved? Will effectively snubbing them lead to problems or will they just get over it? If you're a relative to them, it may not be fair. If you're just a friend of the family, it may not matter, or maybe it would. Maybe each situation has a different correct answer.
