I feel similarly. "Omitting a big part of the story" is incredibly frustrating. Having the most significant part of your life and personality as something that you just can't ever talk about to people generally is tough indeed.

I try to deal with that in terms of 'living' GL in my life as far as it is feasible: child friendships where possible; coming to GC; writing about my feelings (privately and here); reading, movies, etc. If I get to feeling really down, it does seem to help to remember that, despite all the negatives and bullshit we face out there, I still wouldn't wish to be anything but a girl lover: what I get from it just tops everything else.
