Child abuse charges for 'laughing baby' video

A Queensland man who posted a video of a man swinging a laughing baby by its arms on a file-sharing website will soon face court on child abuse charges.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports Chris Illingworth discovered the video while surfing online last month and posted it on the Liveleak website, which is similar to YouTube but has a news focus.

The 60-year-old father-of-four's home was then raided by senior officers from the Queensland Police Taskforce Argos on November 30 and Mr Illingworth was charged with accessing, downloading and uploading child-abuse material with the intent to distribute.
