hi, :)

at least you know it... it's been a while since i've been in a place where i needed to read it again, but i seem to remember flynn thinking it was maybe a good thing anna didn't get to see what his world became... i'm remembering, i think, he wrote the book some time after he got back from playing his part in the first of the 'great' wars...

i'm assuming he wrote it in a time when there was some hope for peace, when he felt maybe her memory might actually survive and grow in the world again.

what would he think now?

i set out to try and say something encouraging here, but honestly i'm not encouraged at all... i've met anna, or people just like her, quite a few times, and it hasn't been fun watching them bounce off the twisted angles that make up their world... i haven't met any yet i could say have really survived... they just kinda stop bouncing, eventually, and go dull.

would you believe i've been working on this post for hours? really want to find some kind of reply, in the hopes you'll catch it, but i can't seem to find anything worthwhile to say...

i'm glad you're still here,

james/aR.
