Thank you for clearing that up, Baldur, and I'm sorry that I got the wrong impression from your post. I do try to act in moderation...I only give one or two extra dollars to a particularly pretty waitress who dresses flatteringly, and I do try to give something extra to ugly or older waitresses who give me good service. As for my dining companions, yesh that is something to take into consideration. But as my one friend told me (the same one who inspired me to start this thread, in fact), "I'm not dating you so I don't mind if you admire the waitresses or other women in front of me." One of my other friends is a lesbian, so I don't think she is overly concerned about the attention I may give to a waitress. But I do understand your concern for doing right by my female dining companions. If I was out on a date with a woman I would never give this type of attention to a waitress, nor would I mention if I thought the waitress was cute.
