I understand that everything I think and do is a small clue to a large puzzle asking what it is I truly want and why I want it, and I find that the answers to these questions hold the keys to becoming at peace with my troubles, most of which we all share.

You can get that from religion. And if you don't want to enroll into any religion, you can get that from several encompassing secular philosophies (as humanism, Marxism, existentialism or environmentalism). Therefore, the Mental Health Industry remains irrelevant.

On the good side, I hope the recession cuts their revenues, as people find more useful things in which to spend the little money they have left... like, idk, gas...
