People who continue to willingly seek the assitance obviously find some part of it that helps them or they would discontinue it. As for psychics I dont need proof that its real to recognize that the people who genuinely believe in it find what they are looking for and it helps them regardless.

As for pedophiles and others that are at a disadvantage to a system that enforces social norms, it is hardly isolated to the mental health industry or the government. With the current social beliefs, the reality is that pedophiles must hide and, if disovered, face the consequences of the society and its relevant industries. To mistake the outcome of general sociolization as "diliberate" actions against a minority is misguided.

I am surprised to see so many people blaming the entire mental health industry for the problems that have occured within it, and labeling the whole industry as a bad thing. I can't be the only one who see's how similar that is to considering all pedophiles bad because of the child molestors out there.
