Also, be sure to follow your advice about what is and what is not safe to say. In America, your lawyer, and in some cases in some religious denominations, your priest, are about the only people not bound by mandatory-reporting laws.
A side-note for any Christians out there reading this:
In most Christian denominations, it is unsafe to talk to your minister. Or rather, it's no safer than talking to a shrink. Check with your lawyer before talking to your minister about your pedophilia.
If you are Roman Catholic, you can say things in the confessional and you are okay, but as soon as you start asking for advice, he's no longer acting in the role of "intermediary to God" and he's acting as a counselor, and you no longer enjoy the sanctity of the confessional. For this reason, I recommend confessing to a priest other than your Parish priest, someone you will not see on a week-to-week basis and someone you will not go to for counseling for any other issues.
