i can't say i agree with your point, or perhaps i just don't understand it.

people who gain degrees in and practice psychotherapy and clinical psychology are perhaps better equipped to help people with mental health problems of the kind experienced by sexual dissidents and deviant populations. they also have formal constraints that prevent them from sharing the personal information of their clients.

what's more, some of those people are genuinely interested in the happiness and empowerment of people like us. that's my point.
