boring, but

i'm never going to run another windows product on my machines again (unless required to for work)

i'm currently running a 64bit branch of debian sid (named for the evil kid next door in toy story - because it's unstable) distributed by sidux - a company incorporated in germany, that names it's releases in greek. i can't even pronounce it, let alone spell it, but one day i will find out what it means.

right now it means fast, as in blindingly so, and fully installed takes up about two gigs on my drive, which it hardly seems to touch at all, since most of everything important lives in memory.

now, if you want to ask about my new year's wishes, that's a whole other story, and not quite as boring...

i'll leave it there, and i wish you all the same - this millenium will be nine years old tomorrow, and nine is my favourite age of all.
