Here is my usual list of annual ones...

1. I haven't read the other responses yet so I wonder if I'm the first to mention smoking? (And, no, I don't mean I resolve to smoke more...)

2. Less caffiene as well. (Okay, I already KNOW this one is broken. Note to self: fuuuuuuck you!)

3. Tend to the house a li'l better. I keep a clean enough house but it sure don't fit the OCD dude people seem to think I am.

4. Better sleep habits.

5. Try not to be such a sore loser at games.

6. Limit gaming activities to pocket pool.

7. Keep up the trend of shooting up that corporate work ladder.

So those are my yearly ones and while I obviously haven't met them, these habits are at least improving each year. Maybe next year my list can be one or two resolutions less? We'll see...

I also try and make a more specific resolution each year, for something that is currently happening in my life. I haven't a clue what that is for '09 yet but I just realised I never made a specific resolution for 2008! So...for '08 I resolve to go out and get totally drunk...and STAY DRUNK THE REST OF THE YEAR!!! I'll be able to tell people, "My new year's resolution for 2008 was to stay constantly drunk all freakin' year! And I did!" I'll be a party animal of legend! (At least for a few hours...)

8. Less embellishment.

Side note: Last time I was drunk, actually? December 31, 2007. And I doubt I really will tonight, I couldn't be less interested. You see, some things can be resolved...

Most importantly I wanna say, this is not so much a resolution as something I am proud to do, especially now: KEEP IT REAL! There is nothing more pitiful than a fuckin' self-loather. Yet I refuse to pity them. People with low self-esteem usually deserve it - George Carlin. I will continue to wake up each day after dreams of our finest and youngest and be proud to walk out into the world and represent- to walk around and admire and interact with the finest and youngest among us and not be afraid to admit- especially if only to myself- that I recognize a beautiful and/or sexy person when I see one. I'm proud I'll never refuse to use the "p-word" as though it were profane or something to be ashamed of because of the way it has been misused and bastardized by bigots! as I've seen some spineless, self-deprecating bitches do!

Have a good year, folks! :)
