The Power of LOVE

The lyric I quoted is from a song called "Get over it," and satirizes the culture of victimhood. I intended it only in jest, as it seems to be the motto of PJ and the anti-clans, only with the word pedophile replacing the word lawyer. You, friend, are absolutely right. There is no one individual, or group, that can be trotted out and assigned blame for the mess we are in. To be able to do so infers by design that another group can be credited with doing their part correctly, which in turn begins to smack of distasteful philosophies such as nazism. The simple truth is that we are all to blame for the way things are. Admittedly, most of us took passive roles in this grand production, but we each and every one of us at each and every moment possess both the potential and the opportunity to evaluate, assess, and change something about ourselves, thereby improving the collective. And we didn't. Why? Many reasons, I'd suppose - it's only human to fear ridicule, be lazy or feign ignorance, etc. Often, it is just more convenient to look around, see what others are talking about and mimic what they're doing. And this is where the true responsibility lies. You, I, and all of them. We did it. We fed into it. We created it. And we are the only ones who can make it better. Only by accepting responsibility for ALL of this can we change ANY of this. I do joke about the legal "industry," as I've had my share of experiences with it. I've seen firsthand the destructions wrought by righteous exuberance and those morally bereft hypocrites charged with "protecting" us. Are they part of the problem? Very likely. Are they the only problem? No way. Are they mere symptoms of our own reticence to deal with matters, instead letting someone else deal with them in our name? Absolutely. When we allowed ink on paper to become superior to actual living creatures, then, at that very moment, all sorts of twisted ideas hailing from the darkest recesses of the most spiritually confounded minds became not only possible, but likely. This current "witch hunt" is, as you said, only the latest. But as much as it pains us, we must not hate our oppressors, as to do so only perpetuates the hatred. We say that what makes us different from them is our love. However, to win this battle, we must demonstrate to the world that love is what makes all of us the same. We must recognize the opportunity that lies within this latest challenge. We can use this incessant publicity to show the world who we are. Then, those actions that tend towards hatred will be seen for what they are - last desperate acts of cowardice perpetrated by immature souls. They say love is the problem. I say love is the answer.
