i've run into a few people like andrea, and i wish it didn't make me angry, but it does. i'm sorry for them, and i wish they hadn't had the bad experiences they'd had, in their own pasts, but now they see what they call paedophillia in everything that anyone else might call love.

sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't, most times it's probably somewhere in between, and most times i can't even be sure about my own feelings, i just wish...

i just wish kids had the power, you know?

i know i did, and i've been in many bad situations myself - the difference is it didn't leave me all bent and twisted, like andrea, it just taught me what i needed to know about adults, and to make better choices.

i look into the faces of the girls in Zhang's photographs, and for the most part i see that power. i look into the faces of the men, and for the most part i feel they recognise it. for these reasons i feel mr Zhang is a true artist, and has captured what needs to be shown.

i hope i'm not fooling myself.
