Zhang is definitely a true artist, saw his other work on his website and i love it. If i look at his pictures from this series i see myself and A. : a father daughter relation with a slightly romantic touch. A pleasant mix of two cultures.

If you read the comments you see especially the bed makes them uncomfortable, in their minds it's connected to sex. The picture itself is completely innocent.

It's the way of how you look to pictures like this that forms an opinion.
They just see the picture and only see details that makes them uncomfortable.

You look to their faces, eyes and expression and are able to connect it to the intentions of the maker.

I just see myself and A. and i especially noticed the beautiful garden.

I assume with power you mean the ability of a child to control the situation and being the one to make decisions what they like or don't like.
