1) I think part of the uneasyness is precisely the interracial character of the family. For all the enthusiasm about the Prophet's election, I think most Americans aren't ready to see children of an obviously different race to their parents... here they disguise it through the ultra pc accusation of the Pedo Vibe, which they know will not be called what it really is.

2) I feel also a fear for the girls' sexuality, even greater sometimes than the hate for us.

3) This constitutes an awesome test and proof that in the best art, the beholder identifies with something and sees what they already wanted to see... not unlike what Kevin Rudd sees everywhere...
