What about the film did you like so much? Sure, it captures a "reality" (albeit fictionalized) and has great music, but a personal best movie ever? Christiane clearly has contempt for her johns, uses sex (with them) to get drugs (rather than for pleasure) and destroys herself in the process. I rate the film highly, but I can't say it exactly fires my imagination.
