I meant exactly what you are saying here.

If someone asks you about questionable or illegal stuff, whether you sincerely think that they are legit or cop / viges, you would treat them the same way.

That's what I meant treating someone like what they do. Some of the previous Audubon posts look like legit (though I insist that I found his random question asking very suspicious), for instance. Our old friend Quilty (and re-incarnations) is thought to be legit, too. History's two most famous bans (one temporary, one permanent) were on people who are known to be legit. But they are treated like what they do. As should be.
