Communicating vessels...

"Desire" is not an intransitive, but the desire for the mental and physical fusion implied by the sexual activities. But the fusion creates a communicating vessels structure, where the fluid levels / densities would have to equalise in the new structure. The mind, instinctively but not consciously, knows this. Whether degrading or elevating, and whether of yourself or of the partner, actions to unequalise the relationship are actually actions to preemptively equalise it before the communicating of the vessels takes place.
