I totally understand your feelings, StarRanger. An attractive 30, 40 or 50 something is like a piece of art or architechture: "Yes, very nice, very well put together", etc. On the other hand, a teen who would, objectively speaking, be considered 'plain' by 'normal' standards becomes a true object of desire in my eyes.
As an example, I had a date earlier this Fall w/ a woman in her late 30's. By ANY definition, this woman was a 'looker.' I guess that since no names or identifiable traits are being given, what I'm about to say can't technically count as "kissing and telling", so I'll admit that we wound up having sex that same night. (So much for the myth that ephebo/pedophiles are "incapable" of "normal sexual relationships"!) Although I enjoyed her company on all levels (sexual as well as platonic) it somehow wasn't as fulfilling as the simple chats, hugs and notes (w/ no sexual references made or even implied) that I've had w/ teenage girls over the decades.
I guess when it comes right down to it, most 'mature' men are attracted to teen girls. The difference between 'them' and 'us' (so to speak....) is that we ephebo/pedophiles truly PREFER the company of girls/young women in that age group, even if all we are 'allowed' to do is talk to them and maybe get a simple hug. The macho-'mature' men types would use them for sex if/when they could be would be 'ashamed' to be seen w/ a 'little girl' in public. I, on the other hand, am PROUD to be seen chatting/cracking jokes w/ a teenage girl working at a fast food joint or hanging out at a mall or concert. Moreover, I'm honored by her company. That, in my opinion, is the definition of a true ephebophile.
