While Daviegh Chase ( of Lilo and Stitch ) was originally announced to play the older sister in My Neighbor Totoro; eventually they went with the superior choice of having the sisters be played by Dakota and Elle.

Wait wait, does this imply that they're making a live action movie of that cartoon??

That'd be cool.

I think I've mentioned this before, but I have a good friend who likes that movie, and shared it with me when we started hagning out when she was a young teen and me slightly older.
It was nice :)

I don't think she'd go for a new version of it with the Fannings though...
