You may be correct.

We may need, as a civilization, our scapegoats in order to excorcise the 'inner beast' within us.

And it could be that the central idea behind this is too powerful to overcome. But I still believe that we as a group can fight against our current status and rise above the scapegoat label. It could be that the hidden cost of that is making another out-group into the new scapegoats. That's not a thought I'm altogether comfortable with, but right now my efforts are concentrated on helping us and our fight. I apologize for the selfishness there.

As for being a pedo, I wouldn't have it any other way. It gives me more gifts than curses, though the curses are hard to bear. But it is a part of me, and I wouldn't want to lose it.

When it comes to mature, developed nations & heirarchies, wars exist almost exclusively to distract the population of a country away from the mishandling of the affairs of state by the relevant government, imo. Also to serve other political agendas, and to keep some kind of 'topdog' status.

In other cases, it is about resources. 'I want what you've got, so I'm gonna take it...'

I don't like it either way...

I think the reason why so many pedo's & homo's develop excellent powers of reasoning is because as out-groups, they get to see things as they really are.
