If you have many women as valued friends then clearly they do not always treat you like garbage.

I have many good female friends who are wonderful and fully accepting of me...as long as things stay platonic between us. What I meant to say, and should have clarified better, is that whenever I get into a romantic relationship with a woman and trust her with my heart, I am treated like total garbage and betrayed in the end (and this regardless of the woman's age). This is one of the reasons that I'm glad me and my best friend never became more than friends (my mother likes her and wishes that me and Anna became more than friends, and I told her we would likely NOT be in each others' lives right now if that happened; what I didn't tell her was that Anna is a bit too old to have much sexual appeal for me, which was another factor and she has a boyfriend anyway).

I'm sorry to hear about your situation with that girl you shared a mutual attraction with, my friend :( That is one of the reasons that I have as little to do with teen girls in real life as possible...I don't want to risk a mutual attraction developing and then dealing with the frustration and heartache of having to refuse her.
