It becomes worthless because sometimes it just doesn't seem real enough.

In all honesty, it's not real. It's a place where like-minded people can discuss our feelings about certain things, but we still can't be totally open and honest on this forum. For example, let's hypothetically say that someone here actually had a LGF. The rules prevent them from admitting it don't they? The rules even prevent people from talking about things in the past, unless it's been adjudicated.

We're even jumped on sometimes for the way we express ourselves, because it doesn't paint us in a positive light to the nons who may peruse the board.

We, just like people in real life, don't always agree on things. Unfortunately, it's easier to call a faceless stranger names than it is to do the same in real life. This is where things break down on this and other forums. We forget that even though we can't see the other person, they do have feelings. I'm just as guilty of it as anyone else is that has done the same. I try to prevent myself from doing it, but sometimes, in the heat of battle, people say things they later regret.

There aren't very many people here I don't like. I've only been here slightly over a year, but in that time, I think there's only been four people I've truly disliked. I may not agree with the belief's of some other people, but I respect their opinion, and hope they respect mine.

This forum is something different for everyone. Some of us just need to know we aren't alone in life, while others may need something more or less. But in the end, we're all in this together.
