Hope your sojourn here is fruitful for all of us. In passing, much of what you see in late-night movies is incorrect. Case in point: when using voice transmissions for messages, "over" means "I am finished speaking and am awaiting your reply"; "out" means "I am finished speaking and am NOT awaiting a reply" (I'm hanging up, in other words, and if you continue transmitting you will be talking to yourself). Screenwriters who were never radio operators invariably get that wrong. ![]() |
