I'm thinking that the GL told her father that she was to you, and maybe intimidated or otherwise manipulated her somehow into telling him that.

Or, maybe she told her father about talking to you, and he lied to you about you telling her that, in order to gauge your reaction to see if maybe you were talking about sexual things with her.
