...even 10,000 sounds like much too much in terms of violent offenders. So if Walsh did say that, I am wondering what he means by the term "violent." Some people would suggest that any adult who has mutually consensual sexual contact with a minor is guilty of a "violent" offense. Currently, the issue of consent is not a factor in determining someone's sentence or whether or not they go up on a sex offender registry, and I believe it should.
